TACT supports people with marked learning disabilities and challenging needs to pursue ordinary, fulfilling, contributing and purposeful lives. We champion independent living and provide innovative and leading edge community development initiatives in the sphere of employment, sport and recreation.

TACT works in creative and innovative ways. Our fundamental belief is that support services for people who have a learning disability should exhaust all possibilities of utilising and maximising the ordinary and everyday world before resorting to services that are 'special' to people who have a learning disability.

We undertake to support people to develop and sustain integrated and inclusive lifestyles, to need a diary, to be busy, and in time to have interests, enthusiasms, valued roles and new and genuine friends. TACT explores and promotes the emergence of circles of natural support and to involve people in the day-to-day interactions in their community. We believe that it is our job to know, nurture and respect the people who we support, and given this, to be ambitious and creative in promoting their best interests.
